Filling Flavours

All cakes except fruit cake* are cut in half and filled with one of these delectable fillings before the cake is sandwiched back together. Belgian chocolate ganache is also used on the outside of the cake underneath the fondant icing. This is great for people who don't like fondant - they can peel it off and still have a delicious coating on their slice of cake.

*Fruit cakes have no filling and marzipan is used under the fondant. Where nut allergies are a concern, two layers of fondant will be used instead of marzipan.

At Delicious Cake Design, Charmayne uses a thinner layer of fondant to let the gorgeous flavours of the cake shine through. She also only uses a brand of fondant that meets with her high standards for taste. All this adds up to a delicious taste experience!
